beginner with d-link dwl 520 rev e

excuse me if i'm missing something but im new to this....

i have been trying to install a d-link dwl 520 rev e for the last week.
i have it at a stage where the drivers appear to install ok but when i try to upload the firmware i get the problems. loading pm010102.hex the first time goes ok:

it's after that that troubble starts:

now PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT is definatley enabled.
i've been searching all week for an answer to this but no luck. anyone got the answer?
i first suspected it's the wrong firmwere image but i've tried all i can find.
