Hi, I have a dwl-520 Air revision V.E1 card, but I can`t install the driver.

this is the card:

http://www.dlink.com/products/?model=DWL-520

After re-compile and install the new kernel, ejecute:

"make pci" and "make install_pci"

"[root at localhost hostap-2002-10-12]# make install_pci
Installing hostap_crypt*.o to /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
mkdir -p /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
cp driver/modules/hostap_crypt*.o /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
Installing hostap.o to /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
mkdir -p /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
cp driver/modules/hostap.o /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
Installing hostap_pci.o to /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
mkdir -p /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
cp driver/modules/hostap_pci.o /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/net
/sbin/depmod -a"

but, when I made run "modprobe hostap_pci" command, to result following see:

"[root at localhost root]# modprobe hostap_pci
hostap_pci: (c) Jouni Malinen <jkmaline at cc.hut.fi>
wlan0: hfa384x_cmd - timeout - reg=0x819a
hostap_pci: first command failed - is the card compatible?
hostap_pci: Initialization failed
hostap_pci: No devices found, driver not installed.
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3Wireless/net/hostap_pci.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3Wireless/net/hostap_pci.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-3Wireless/net/hostap_pci.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3Wireless/net/hostap_pci.o: insmod hostap_pci failed"

that I am making bad?

please, I need a guide

Thanks
