Tx process

I have some questions about tx process. Is prism2_tx the function that runs when dev_queue_xmit(skb) is called? After this function is called the skb is ready to send to the card (deferred if it is buffered)?
Why in the case of tx_buf (sta in PS mode), when the dequeue is done is dev_queue_xmit called again and the  skb is not send directly to the card (with the hfa384x_setup and to_bap functions)?
