I have the same problem with a Netgear PCI Ethernet card on a particular
motherboard from some age in the past. The solution was to move it to
another PCI slot. That seemed to resolve the problem. There might've been
an IRC conflict. I haven't had this problem with other PCI Ethernet cards
or my Linksys WMP11 PCI card on the same system.
