Regarding AP and STA functionality

HI

In the current version of Host AP is it programatically possible to switch
between AP mode and STA mode? We have a requirement where the network
configured should always be a Infrastructure network. So, if no AP is found
in the network, one of the STA should switch to AP mode.

Can anyone guide me on this? Any help would be appreciated
