Bridging Difficulties

Hi List,

I have a bridging problem where I have hostap running in managed mode connected to another hostap running in master, both linux boxes are running bridging code and all is working fine.

In this second box(the one with the client) I have recently added a second PRISM card (dwl-520) and this is all fine until I add the wlan1 interface to the bridge (brctl addif br0 wlan1) once this happens the bridge goes into a seemingle endless loop as below.

Feb 7 16:31:23 node1 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Feb 7 16:35:41 node1 kernel: br0: received tcn bpdu on port 1(wlan0)
Feb 7 16:35:41 node1 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Feb 7 16:35:43 node1 kernel: br0: received tcn bpdu on port 1(wlan0)
Feb 7 16:35:43 node1 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Feb 7 16:35:45 node1 kernel: br0: received tcn bpdu on port 1(wlan0)
Feb 7 16:35:45 node1 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Feb 7 16:35:47 node1 kernel: br0: received tcn bpdu on port 1(wlan0)
Feb 7 16:35:47 node1 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Feb 7 16:35:49 node1 kernel: br0: received tcn bpdu on port 1(wlan0)

And this will go on until the wlan1 interface is removed from the bridge group (brctl delif br0 wlan1).

While all this is happening I can see data flowing over the bridge, I can see arp's etc with a tcpdump but I cant ping anything from that host...
but with the wlan1 removed from the bridge everything works fine...

My Setup
kernel 2.4.19
hostap 2002-10-12
bridge utils 0.9.6
wireless tools 24

Thanks,
