New 802.11g Wireless Standard

The basic question is "are they PRISM-based"? If yes, then Intersil 
committed to keeping hostap mode support in the newer versions of their 
chipsets, and then it should be possible to make it work. If not, then 
there is probably very little chance it will be supported by the hostap 
driver (and it might even be difficult to get any kind of support for Unix 
variants, other vendors being quite secretive about the information needed 
to write a driver).

As far as I know, there are no cards yet available with the newer PRISM 
chipsets that are 802.11g capable, but I might be wrong...
