wlan0 unsupported ioctl

I've been using hostap, everything works fine, but I keep getting
these messages in my logs:

wlan0 unsupported ioctl(0x8947)
wlan0 unsupported ioctl(0x89f0)

That repeats quite often, enough that my logs are full of these.
Any reason why this would happen?
