Sorry, I meant "rpmbuild", not "rpm".  "rpm" used to understand
"--rebuild" in older versions of Red Hat.

If you rebuild the source, the distribution version shouldn't be a big
problem.  There may be some differences in the macros used in the *.spec
file, but they shouldn't be hard to fix.

rpmfind.net only lists RPMs for Mandrake.  I could fix it for other
distributions, but I'm afraid I'll be overwhelmed by questions and bug
reports if I start making RPM packages.

I hope somebody is making portable RPM packages already.  I just wanted to
tell you that it's better to recompile RPM packages (provided that you
already have the sources) and give you a simple way how to check if the
modules are installed correctly.

If you report errors like that, nobody will help you.  Recommended
