wlan0 Interface seems to freeze.

I get essentially the same problem, sans the dmesg message, with my WUSB11
v2.6 (atmel driver). I have a good connection to my laptop (using pcmcia
Zoomair prism2 and hostap), kernel 2.4.18, which NEVER goes down or has a
problem as you describe. My WUSB11, however, works for some hours (sometimes
half a dozen or more, sometimes just a few) but then just stops responding
and resetting is impossible. The only way to get it back is with a reboot.

The problem appears similar to your prism2 problem though from totally
different system (different device type - atmel - and interface - usb).
